Mission and Vision
CASA of New Jersey is part of a national network of non-profit programs. We are a proud member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) / Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Association for Children. In New Jersey our program promotes, and supports a statewide network of county-based CASA programs that train community volunteers to advocate on behalf of children in foster care and other out-of-home placements.
The vision of CASA of NJ is that all children of New Jersey who have been removed from their families because of abuse or neglect are served by a qualified, well-trained Court Appointed Special Advocate.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey provides a voice for abused and neglected children by empowering a statewide network of county-based CASA programs. Working through community volunteers, these programs advocate on behalf of children in foster care and other out-of-home placements to ensure their well-being and ultimate placement in safe and nurturing permanent homes.
Each year, several thousand individuals from New Jersey generously dedicate their time to advocate for children in foster care and other out-of-home placements as CASA volunteers.
